This striking artwork shows a cat enjoying the summer sunshine amidst a wealth of wildflowers...perhaps in a cottage garden.
 
Under healing blue skies and fluffy clouds, I wanted to portray a summer's day with the drone of a solitary bumblebee carried on the warm breeze.
 
With watercolour aspects, loose paint effects and thick textures, it really gives a feeling for a wildflower meadow under bright blue skies. I have painstakingly painted realistic fluffy clouds to add extra depth to the artwork and there are exciting areas of fine gold and silver coloured detail within it.
 
Painted with acrylic paints on board and varnished in a glossy high quality artists varnish, this artwork comes with a certificate of authenticity.
 
The frame is stunning in a cream solid wooden frame that has lined grooves in it. It looks modern and is subtle enough to let the colours pop. There is no glass in most of my framing, including this piece, so the textures can be fully appreciated.
